ATTN: Travel Manager/Arranger/Travelers
Duplicate reservations are a concern for the airline industry because they do not allow the given airline to manage and control its inventory. Duplicate reservations are defined as reserving multiple seats on the same flight, or reserving different flights for the same time frame.
Travel One has preventative measures in place within our Cliqbook tool to avoid duplicate reservations from occurring. When a user attempts to book travel that coincides with an existing trip, a pop-up message appears in Cliqbook to warn the user that (s)he already has a booking on that date. The user can choose to continue or not, but the warning is there.
If a duplicate reservation is made, Travel One receives a “Churning Debit Memo” (fee) from the airline. These Debit Memos are $15 per segment, and it is incumbent upon Travel One to pass these fees on to the client.
Please advise your travelers making reservations through the Online Booking Tools to avoid making these duplicate reservations, thus avoiding a “Churning Debit Memo”.
Please contact Travel One with any questions.
Travel One will continue to keep our clients informed of news and information that may affect their corporate travel program. Please contact your Travel One reservationist at 952-854-2555 or 1-800-245-1111 for the most current travel information.
