ATTN: Travel Manager/Arranger/Travelers
As communicated in previous Travel Alerts, the TSA's Secure Flight Program requires that airlines gather additional traveler information to determine if the passenger is a match for the "NO Fly" or "Selectee" lists. The implementation of the Secure Flight Program is occurring in phases.
Today, May 15, 2009, is the first important date for this program. For new reservations taken today (and from this date forward), the name on the traveler's reservation must match EXACTLY the name on the ID the traveler plans to use at airport check-in. All reservations made prior to this date are "grandfathered in" and are not required to have this additional passenger information.
Travel One has implemented an automated process that requires our agents to collect the necessary information. Over the prior several weeks, Travel One has been collecting the required passenger information for many of our frequent travelers - however, please advise your travelers that Travel One will verify this information when taking new reservations for the next couple of months.
For reservations made on a managed online booking tool, a pop-up window will prompt travelers / arrangers to enter the information and will store it in their online profile. This newly gathered information will "synch" with our computer reservation system so agent-assisted reservations will have the correct information as well.
Please contact Travel One if you have any questions.
Travel One will continue to keep our clients informed of news and information that may affect their corporate travel program. Please contact your Travel One reservationist at 952-854-2555 or 1-800-245-1111 for the most current travel information.
