Travel One's industry sources indicate that a Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines merger agreement will be announced within the next couple of days.  The airlines aim to push ahead with an agreement even if they have not yet received the support of both pilot groups.

Travel One does NOT anticipate any changes to the respective carrier's frequent flyer programs or corporate loyalty programs.  In addition, Travel One does not foresee any imminent problems with future reservations or flight schedules.

If / when this deal is announced, both carriers will act independantly until the merger is approved by the Department of Justice - most likely before the January 20, 2009 change in Presidentcy.
