On January 3, 2010, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued a new security directive to all U.S. and international air carriers with inbound flights to the U.S. effective January 4, 2010. The new directive includes long-term, sustainable security measures developed in consultation with law enforcement officials and domestic and international partners.
The TSA is mandating that every individual flying into the U.S. traveling from or through nations that are state sponsors of terrorism or other countries of interest will be required to go through an enhanced screening process.
Travel One strongly advises ALL clients traveling internationally into the United States to get to the airport 2 ½ to 3 hours prior to flight time for check-in and security screening. Airlines will not take responsibility for any delays travelers encounter with TSA. For the latest official information from the TSA, please see their website, www.tsa.gov. Here is a link to their current guidelines: TSA Guidelines for Passengers.
