Northwest Airlines Allows Domestic Non-Refundable to Refundable Ticket Exchanges

DATE: October 1, 2007
ATTN: Travel Manager/Arranger/Travelers

Effective today, October 1, 2007, Northwest Airlines is changing their policy on how/when domestic non-refundable unused tickets may be applied to future reservations.

The new policy will allow a wholly unused non-refundable domestic ticket to be applied toward the purchase of another Northwest or KLM domestic or international fare of higher, equal or lower value.  However, the non-refundable value of the original ticket remains non-refundable for any subsequent ticket exchange.

In the past, NWA did not allow a non-refundable ticket to be applied to a fully refundable ticket.

Travel One is pleased that NWA is making it easier for our customers to use their unused tickets.

For more information, or questions regarding the management of your company’s unused tickets, please contact Steve Neuman at sneuman@traveloneinc.com.
